Still to go:
Dear Lovely People,
Imagine observing someone you love face a daily battle against a disease that gradually takes away their ability to move, speak, and live independently. This is the harsh reality for countless individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease each year. Unfortunately, my beloved father was among them, and I had to bid him farewell last January. Witnessing his struggle highlighted a painful truth: currently, all available treatments for Parkinson's focus solely on alleviating symptoms, with no definitive cure in sight.
More and more people are affected by Parkinson's, and without significant investment in research, their futures remain uncertain. I really want to change this by raising awareness and funds for research now more than ever, as a tribute to my dear father. Parkinson's research is not just important—it's essential.
I have joined Rotterdam Marathon alongside other passionate supporters and patients. This event is more than just a race; it's a powerful statement of hope and solidarity and your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a profound difference in the lives of those battling Parkinson's disease. By supporting this cause, you are helping to pave the way toward a future where Parkinson's no longer dictates the lives of our loved ones.
Let's make the world a little more beautiful together.
Lots of love,
Mona
